Westwood collection tackles environment

British designer Vivienne Westwood uses the catwalk to vehicle her views on global warming

PARIS, FRANCE - Models in British designer Vivienne Westwood's show hit the catwalk with their hair in the wild and fiery garments representing the designer's views on global warming.

At Westwood's show, punk rock flirted with the Parisian bourgeoisie as fashionistas crowded into the gilded salons of a left-bank apartment formerly owned by Karl Lagerfeld.

Models with their hair in wild, frayed beehives strode across the parquet in Westwood's loosely draped dresses, voluminous belted jackets and a bridal dress emblazoned with slogans against global warming.

Singer Rihanna, who attended the show said she thought Westwood was "fun and funky."
