Wintour in new documentary

Anna Wintour, Sienna Miller, Renee Zellweger and Diddy amongst fashion and film stars hitting the red carpet for Vogue documentary.

She was parodied in "The Devil Wears Prada" but now Anna Wintour is telling her own story in a new documentary.

"The September Issue" follows the American Vogue editor as she creates the magazine's biggest ever issue last year.

The movie premiered in New York with Sienna Miller who was on the cover of the magazine, Renee Zellwegger and Diddy on hand.

Wintour is the most influential person in fashion and with that she says comes the highs and lows of putting yourself on the line.

"The heartache and the successes. I think the September issue is really a benchmark for the industry."

Director RJ Cutler was given unprecedented access to the inner workings of the Vogue offices.

He says while Wintour has been known to be cutting, she's also a perfectionist and extremely talented.

"It takes really hard work and a kind of commitment that most people don't imagine to really stay at the top of your game, especially in fashion."

Perhaps her Editor-At-Large Andre Leon Talley summed up Wintour best.

"The September Issue" is in cinemas across the United States on August 28 and will be shown internationally in September.
