Knitwear at Blugirl, ski look for D&G

Blugirl, D&G play up knits at Milan womenswear shows.

MILAN, ITALY (FEBRUARY 25, 2010) - Italian fashion brands Blugirl and D&G chose a comfy knit look at their womenswear autumn/winter 2010-2011 fashion shows on Thursday (February 25).
Italian designer Anna Molinari picked knitwear as the starting point of her Blugirl collection, with cream and animal print knit dresses, worn with white bolero jackets, white thick tights and chunky wool arm cuffs.

Molinari decorated her dresses with silver sequins and gold lame'. Some dresses were worn with polo necks or chunky cardigans.

For the evening there was a selection of black beaded, sequinned and transparent dresses as well as a white layered lace dress.

Accessories included sequin hairbands, gold or silver lame' and animal print clutch bags, rhinestone and pearl necklaces and crossover sandals with chunky wooden heels.

Designer duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana went for the ski lodge look for their D&G line, with reindeer and snowflake patterned jumpers and boots covered in fur.

They mixed red, white and black knit jumpers with chiffon see-through skirts, which also carried winter time decorations.

Chiffon tops were worn over knit hot pants or under strapless dresses and the designers also presented all-knit jumpsuits.

For the evening, there were suede jackets and a selection of white, frilled and transparent long dresses, some of which were worn with a black neck ribbon, a waistcoat or a jacket.

The duo completed their winter look with woollen hats and glittering ski goggles.
