Gaultier goes global

Jean Paul Gaultier goes global

PARIS, FRANCE - Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier takes a voyage around the world with his "global" Autumn/Winter collection, featuring designs inspired from cultures across the planet.

French Fashion's "enfant terrible" did away with his famous "rocket-cone" bra this season and tried to appeal to international tastes ranging from China and Russia to Latin America.

Models walked the catwalk sporting tops with Peruvian-type embroidery with exotic, Mongolian-inspired jewelry.

Pagoda-style hats, beads and sequins and cowboy boots -- Jean Paul Gaultier's collection even featured several cultures in one outfit.

In classic Gaultier style, the designer ran down the catwalk and took his bow.
