Four Eye Makeup Product Essentials You Need

Every woman who wears makeup needs a good arsenal of eye
makeup products. If you're just starting to wear makeup, it
can be tricky to know which to use.

Here are four eye makeup products every woman needs to start
a great makeup collection!

A good eye cream - Even if you're still in your 20's and a
long way off from dealing with wrinkles, one of the best eye
makeup products you can invest your money in is one you can't
even see once it's on. An eye cream will help repair fine
lines and protect the delicate skin around your eyes from
sun damage.

Today's eye creams are diverse. They do everything from firm
and tighten to protect against the sun's rays with an SPF. If
you're just starting out, try to find one with an SPF of at
least 15 and don't worry about the other frills.

Concealer - Nothing covers up a late night or too many hours
in front of the computer screen like concealer. It's an eye
makeup product that will enhance every other product you use
on your eyes. If you choose one with a yellow base, it will
lighten the appearance of dark circles.

When using it, place a thin layer of concealer on the skin
of your lower lid using your ring finger. Since it's your
weakest, your ring finger applies just the right amount of
pressure to keep from snagging that delicate skin.

Once applied, concealer will help brighten the area around
your eyes and draw the focus up to your peepers.

A go-to eye liner - Everyone has a favorite. Finding yours
will mean you've got at least one product in your makeup bag
that makes you feel confident each time you put it on.

For some women, their go-to eyeliner is a bold liquid
formula. For others, it's the ease of a pencil.

Take your time learning how to apply your favorite. It's
tricky to use at first, but it's a skill that once mastered
gets easier every time.

Two application tips: To make the line look more natural, be
sure to smudge it just a bit. Also, you can tilt the line up
just a hair at the edges for a more youthful look.

A good set of brushes - Throw out the wimpy applicators that
come with most eye makeup products. To really graduate into
makeup application for grown-ups, you need a decent set of
brushes.

You'll want a wide-set one that's rounded at the top for
applying light shades like highlighter, an angled brush for
use in the crease of your eye, and a smaller eye makeup
brush for applying color to your lids.

Other eye makeup brushes like a smudging brush and an
eyebrow brush are also nice, but not essential.
