Subtle Valentino collection adds sensual touch to Paris Fashion Week

Valentino's spring/summer 2013 collection, presented on Tuesday (October 2) of Paris Fashion Week, was all about subtle sensuality.
Though the necklines were kept high, seductive sheer fabrics and tiny transparent cutouts added to the allure, while a chemisier dress featured a coquettish long row of tiny buttons.
The silhouette was light, below-the-knee or long, with a slightly fitted waist. The blouses and dresses were covered with light beading.
Delicate fabrics such as chiffon, georgette, silk panama, cotton lace, printed lace and embroidered brocade were employed. The colour palette was tender, featuring blush, ivory, and beige, with splashes of geranium and rouge noir, and touches of blue and black.
Nuances of green, tobacco, mistletoe, and jade blended together to achieve a camouflage effect.
Accessories included open-toe sling backs, transparent Mary Janes with plexiglass wedge heels and transparent minaudieres in colourful tones.
Two stunning red silk dresses closed the show, a homage to the DNA of the Italian house that famously patented the shade "Valentino red."
