Dolce and Gabbana tie the knot with foulards for the youthful line's last show

Dolce and Gabbana show of their D&G line for the last time at Milan's spring/summer 2012 collections as they announce incorporating the brand into their core business.

MILAN, ITALY (SEPTEMBER 22, 2011) REUTERS - Italian fashion duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana stitched foulards together for the last show of their D&G line here in Milan (September 22) at the womenswear summer 2012 week.

The designers, who announced they will incorporate the brand into their core Dolce & Gabbana business, turned silk foulards into the main element of dresses, shirts, pants, skirts and accessories.

The collection follows the search for iconic themes seen at their previous shows.
Shorts and pants were smooth over the skin for a relaxed elegance.

Golden coins adorned foulard bags worn around the waist.
Oversized straw and raffia hats added a beach glamour to the fresh collection.
Wedges returned on the catwalk entirely made of foulards for a colourful summer season.
