Special haute-couture creations were the highlight of the day on Thursday at the ongoing 15th China International Fashion Week in Beijing.
Inspired by the concept of jade, designer Xu Ming presented a line of clothing in soft natural fibers of white and light green. Models walked slowly on the runway to soothing music, bringing the audience into a pure and dreamlike world.
All the offerings at the show reflected the designer's unique, subtle fashion sense - a style at once elegant but also understated, reserved.
"I gave life to cotton, foam, jade and other special materials. To me, everything has a spirit, and we should appreciate all materials," Xu said.
The fashion week, which has attracted over 50 designers from China and abroad, runs from October 23 to November 3.
